Hello! My name is Nate Joaquin Torres. I am a graduate from the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!). I found a passion for photography in my teen years and was fascinated by the idea of capturing a single moment in time within a photograph.
I was drawn to the images that were able to tell a story. These are the kinds of photos I strive to capture, and this is what drove me to start working as a freelance photographer.
You hire a photographer in hopes of receiving great photographs that you are proud to own, right? If you work with me, you will not only receive great photos, but you will be working with a passionate freelance photographer who believes in open-communication. This ensures you receive the photos you are looking for.
Included within the photography session, you also receive high-end retouching services using state-of-the-art Adobe products. I can’t wait to meet and work with you!
In my photography, I strive to capture uncluttered and visually appealing compositions following the rules of photography. I am a natural light photographer — therefore, I rely mainly on the lighting given on a certain day and I utilize it to the greatest potential.
For my portrait photography, I aim to create natural, clean, and contemporary images that have a modern and artistic feel.
I strongly believe in the process of communication and collaboration to ensure you receive the best photos possible, and the ones you envisioned. Before the photo shoot, I plan, prepare, and ask questions to ensure we share the same vision regarding the goals of the photo session.
Each client’s goals can be different. For example, regarding portrait photography sessions, some clients enjoy more edited photos that can be found trending on social media platforms such as Instagram, while some prefer more natural, less edited photographs.
Some clients already have a particular vision in mind. This creates a space for idea collaboration, while others rely on me and let me take full control of the shoot. I work well in both cases and do not have a preference. Whichever it is, communication is key to a successful photography session!
The goal with all my environmental portrait is to illuminate you, your life, and your surroundings.
By standing out among the crowd, your photos can get more likes, better engagement, and ultimately more followers.
A headshot portrait is a photograph of your face that usually includes shoulders. You can use the photo as a profile picture, a professional LinkedIn photo, a headshot to submit to agencies, etc.
Graduation is not one or two stand alone photos, but rather a whole story about your memories in school.
Photography is also about art. When so many portraits are being taken, sometimes you may want a more creative artistic portrait.
Shooting in nature has become my favorite type of portrait photography and is a favorite among clients as well.
